Pomerene Hospital Recognizes Volunteers At Annual Banquet

(Millersburg, OH)- Pomerene Hospital held their Volunteer Banquet on April 29th, 2015 at the Carlisle Inn Walnut Creek.This year’s banquet theme was “Anchors Away on the S.S. Pomerene.”

During 2015, volunteers provided over 8,500 hours of service to Pomerene Hospital.Guest speaker for the event was Tina Zickefoose of Every Woman’s House.

Twenty-three volunteers were recognized for their service to Pomerene.Hanna Yoder was awarded the “Promising Newcomer” and Barbara Reed received the “Above and Beyond” award for her dedication and going the extra mile.

The following volunteers were recognized for achieving a service milestone. They include:

  • 100 Hours – Connie Wengerd, Ruth Hershberger
  • 300 Hours – Marge Riggle
  • 500 Hours – Emma Carpenter, Gladys Raber, Alma Yoder, Barbara Reed
  • 700 Hours – Arlene Miller, Nettie Miller, Mary Ann Wengerd
  • 1000 Hours – Carolyn Baker, Joyce Miller, Mary Miller, Emma Shetler, Paul Thomas, Anna J. Yoder
  • 1300 Hours – Fern Sowers
  • 1500 Hours – Marjorie Weiss
  • 2000 Hours – Nina Kasner
  • 2500 Hours – Mae Yoder
  • 6000 Hours – Erma Miller
