Pomerene Hospital Continues Distribution of COVID-19 Vaccine to Phase 1B Population in Holmes County

05-Feb-2021

(Millersburg, Ohio) – On February 11th, Pomerene Hospital will continue to administer COVID-19 vaccinations to those individuals categorized in the second group of Phase 1B under Ohio’s COVID-19 Vaccination Plan. The 1B group includes individuals age 65 and older.

Under Phase 1B, all available vaccines will be directed to those who choose to be vaccinated and meet the requirement of age 65 and older. At this time, the supply of vaccinations to our county are intermittent and very limited which may restrict availability. Please note that it is possible for individuals to be placed on a waitlist.

Vaccinations will begin on Thursday, February 11th, by appointment only, in the Pomerene Hospital Auditorium. Please call our vaccination scheduling line at 330-674-1584, extension 1066 to schedule now. Additional instructions will be given during the scheduling process.

Due to extremely high call volumes, those calling to schedule an appointment may experience a delay or may not get through the first time. Please do not let this discourage you and know that our number one priority is the health of our community and administering vaccinations to those who meet the requirements of Phase 1B.

You may also call the Holmes County General Health District to schedule your vaccination at their location by calling 330-674-5035.

Updates concerning Pomerene vaccination availability and scheduling for other age groups will be announced in local newspapers, local radio, our Facebook page, and our website www.pomerene.org.
